The Volvo XC60 vs. the Lexus NX

  • Cargo space. The Volvo SUV will allow Roseville and Elk Grove drivers to take along more of what's important to them than the compact SUV from Lexus. While the XC60 cargo space accommodates nearly 30 cubic feet of storage, the Lexus NX cargo area holds just 17.7 cubic feet.
  • Passenger space. You, and your passengers, will also be more comfortable in the Volvo SUV than the Lexus, thanks to the extra inches of shoulder room and elbow room, which allows you more room to stretch out than the Lexus NX.
  • Power. The Volvo XC60 delivers a range of three impressive powertrains that start at 250 horsepower and go up from there. The Lexus SUV, on the other hand, has just one engine available, a 235-horsepower that can't compete with the Volvo in power and oomph.

The Volvo XC60 vs. the BMW X4

  • Comfort. The BMW X4 interior space is inferior to the Volvo XC60, especially when it comes to legroom. The Volvo model has an inch more legroom for front seat passengers, and a nice three inches extra legroom in the backseat.
  • Cargo storage. With its cavernous rear cargo hold, the Volvo XC60 is more useful than the BMW. The XC60 has a cargo hold that can accommodate 29.7 cubic feet of gear, compared to the 18.5 cubic feet of available space in the BMW.
  • Standard features. The BMW X4 has a nice list of standard features one would expect from a luxury brand name. But the Volvo XC60 has a lot more. In fact, while many advanced safety features, including road departure mitigation and oncoming collision mitigation with auto emergency braking, are standard for every Volvo XC60 model, they're only optional for the BMW. Volvo delivers a long list of standard amenities on every trim, while the X4 has most of them list as options in available packages.

The Volvo XC60 vs. the Audi Q5

  • Efficiency. Both models average around 24 mpg combined. But the Volvo XC60 will take you further per fill up, with a range that averages 414 miles in the city and 545 miles on the highway. The Audi Q5, on the other hand, averages 407 miles in the city and just 500 miles on the highway per tank of gas.
  • Options. Volvo understands that drivers like choices, and they make the XC60 available in a variety of trims and incredible engines, including a cutting-edge hybrid powertrain. The Audi Q5, on the other hand, doesn't allow drivers to choose their power. Every Audi comes with the same 248-horsepower engine, which is also less powerful than all of the options available from Volvo.
  • Standard safety features. Volvo strives to protect families in Davis, CA, and beyond, and nowhere is that more evident than in the standard level of safety features every XC60 comes with. While the Audi Q5 has standard safety that includes automatic emergency braking for vehicles and pedestrians, the Volvo takes it much further, with standard auto emergency braking that recognizes pedestrians and animals, as well as lane-keeping assistance, road-departure mitigation, and oncoming collision avoidance.
